Oregon OSHA Inspections Are Increasing – Is Your Facility Prepared?

Dear Healthcare Client,

Oregon OSHA inspections are on the rise. Is your facility prepared?

Physician’s Resource wants to make you aware of an uptick in Oregon OSHA inspections and encourage you to take this opportunity to review your facility’s OSHA compliance, documentation, and safety programs.

During recent inspections, OSHA has been requesting several key records and documents, including:

  1. Three years of OSHA 300 and 300A Logs
  2. Six months of Safety Committee meeting minutes
  3. Written Hazard Communication Program
  4. Current Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Index
  5. Bloodborne Pathogens Program
  6. Staff OSHA and safety training records
  7. Sharps Injury Log
  8. Emergency Evacuation Plan posted and readily visible

Take Action Before an Inspection

Now is the time to review your facility’s compliance, not after you receive an inspection notice.

Please refer to your monthly self-inspection checklist and make sure your OSHA compliance training and facility inspection are scheduled, completed, and up to date.

A proactive review can help identify and address potential compliance issues before an OSHA Compliance Officer arrives.
